 OCAN needs your help! Please contact us for volunteer opportunities. Do you belong to a group or organization? OCAN offers a free presentation by an ovarian cancer survivor to any group or business in the state of Nevada. Each presentation is from 15 minutes to 1 hour and includes free brochures, symptom cards and ribbons. A physician will attend to answer questions for larger groups. Do you know a newly diagnosed ovarian cancer patient? OCAN offers Patient Care Packages free of charge to survivors and their families. Do you or someone you know play golf? Join the LPGA in their campaign to raise awareness about ovarian cancer. OCAN will provide teal ribbons at any golf course or shop in Nevada. Would you like to visit someone in the hospital? There are women in the hospital that would like to meet other survivors who understand what they are going through. Sign up to be a visitor with OCAN. Help OCAN staff a booth at a health fair. Let us know about upcoming health fairs. OCAN will set up and staff a booth and provide free literature about ovarian cancer. Help OCAN reach across our state to raise awareness about this deadly disease. OCAN is looking for contacts in Reno, Carson City, Ely, and other parts of Nevada. Nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals are needed to distribute our Patient Care Packages, brochures, and symptom cards. Promote an ovarian cancer stamp.
