Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada
Our practice began as a collaboration between Southwest Cancer Clinic and Nevada Radiation Oncology Centers, who for over 30 years have provided Southern Nevada with the highest level of cancer treatment services available. Driven by the desire to better meet patient needs as a united group, the two practices came together in May 2000. The name Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada (CCCN) was adopted in September 2002.
  
Nevada Cancer Institute
Nevada Cancer Institute (NVCI) is the official cancer institute for the State of Nevada. A nonprofit organization, NVCI is committed to reducing the burden of cancer by pursuing the development of a comprehensive cancer research institute, as defined by the National Cancer Institute.
  
The Caring Place
The Caring Place is a non-profit organization created to bring a community based wellness center to Southern Nevada. This center will provide an oasis for those touched by cancer, away from medical facilities, for healing and information to support mind, body and soul. The Caring Place will put in place a highly qualified staff to provide FREE programs that support individuals in actively managing the impact of cancer in their lives and improving the quality of life. The Caring Place will serve all individuals with cancer and their family and friends regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation.

The American Cancer Society (ACS) is a nationwide, community- based voluntary health organization. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, the ACS has state divisions and more than 3,400 local offices.

ASSIST-Ovarian
ASSIST-Ovarian.com is a Web site designed to provide information about the ASSIST-1 and ASSIST-3 clinical trials for women with recurrent ovarian cancer. Both of these Phase 3 trials are studying TLK286, an investigational cancer drug discovered and developed by Telik, Inc ("Telik").

Be Cancer Smart
This site is not a site where you will find what treatment is best for Ovarian Cancer and which ones to avoid. The site owner is not qualified to prescribe or recommend treatments of any sort. Cancer Care
Cancer Care, Inc. is a national nonprofit agency dedicated to providing emotional support, information, referral, and practical assistance to people with cancer and their loved ones, at no charge.

Care Pages help families stay connected, informed, and supported. When a loved one is hospitalized or receiving care it can be difficult to communicate. With CarePages, updates are shared via email automatically and visitors can leave messages for the patient and family on the Web page. CarePages give families an emotional lift that is hard to deliver in any other way. CarePages create a constant during chaos: a website where everyone concerned can go to get updates and view pictures.

Cancer Consultants
A Oncology Resource Center that is part of the Cancer Information Network. The goal is to offer cancer information and local resources for patients and physicians. A specific section on Ovarian Cancer News is available.

Conversations: The International Ovarian Cancer Connection
The International Newsletter for those fighting ovarian cancer. Each issue is ten to twelve pages and published about 11 Times a Year. Subscriptions are free.

Info For Your Health - Ovarian Cancer
Ovarian Cancer is a type of cancer that begins in the ovarian cells. The types of cells that are found in the ovaries include the following: Surface epithelial cells - Germ cells - And the sex cord-stromal cells. Any cancer cells that invade the ovaries and begin to grow within the ovaries are not considered or referred to as Ovarian Cancer.

International Cancer Research Portfolio (ICRP)
Imagine being able to look up a topic area in cancer research and find hundreds of internationally funded research projects, find out who is doing them, where the research is taking place, how much money is involved, and be able to read an abstract of the research. All at one user-friendly web site. This is now a reality. The International Cancer Research Portfolio (ICRP) database was created by a consortium of international cancer funding organizations. The goal is to improve cancer research planning and ensure that valuable research funds are used with maximum impact to benefit cancer patients.

Johns Hopkins Ovarian Cancer Web site.
This site is a collaboration with Sean Patrick, an ovarian cancer survivor, and the physicians and scientists of Johns Hopkins. It grew out of a shared passion to improve the quality of information and resources available.

National Cancer Institute (NCI)
A national central clearing-house, the NCI Information Services is a practical first stop for those first diagnosed with cancer. Trained personnel provide medical information by telephone related to specific cancers, treatments, and coping strategies. Printed materials include "What You Need To Know about Ovarian Cancer," lists of cancer centers and clinical trial information.

The Ovarian Cancer National Alliance
An umbrella organization that works to increase public and professional understanding of ovarian cancer, and to advocate for more effective diagnostics, treatments, and cure.

The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund
OCRF was founded in December 1994 to honor the memory of Ann Schreiber, a distinguished public administrator who lost a courageous five-year battle with ovarian cancer. OCRF is devoted to the formulation of early diagnostic programs and research toward the ultimate conquest of ovarian cancer. As we strive to find a cure, we also seek to support patients and their loved ones in understanding this disease and its treatments as well as to provide educational outreach programs and raise awareness through the media and joint ventures with other organizations.

The Ovarian Problem Discussion List
An email support group which allows survivors and others a chance to exchange information and support daily.  If you go to the site, ( ACOR ), click on Mailing Lists and then click on "O" for ovarian and you’ll find the list. If you join, keep the defaults like Digest and Listserv. You can search the archives by entering a keyword like Doxil or Intraperitoneal. You can ask a question or just post a comment. The list is not monitored for medical accuracy.

Women And Cancer Magazine - On Line
All women are in some way impacted by cancer as survivors, advocates, friends, caregivers or family members. We believe that a woman’s experience with cancer is broad and includes topics such as prevention, wellness, nutrition, spirituality, work- and home-life issues, and caregiving.
